ThermoLift tapped for national incubator program

ThermoLift, a Stony Brook company working to develop a super-efficient system to heat and cool homes, is among six clean-technology startups selected to join an incubator program run by Wells Fargo.
The five-year program provides the companies with up to $250,000 in cash and technical assistance to develop products to reduce energy consumption and make commercial buildings more efficient.
“It will help expand the scope of our work,” ThermoLift senior vice president Jonathan L. Haas said.
ThermoLift, founded in 2012, has raised a total of $5.8 million in startup funding. It has six employees at offices at Stony Brook’s Advanced Energy Center. The company’s heating and cooling system is based on a German model developed in the 1990s.
The other companies selected for the incubator program include 7AC Technologies of Beverly, Massachusetts, and Go Electric Inc. of Anderson, Indiana.
