Touro Law School offers free flood insurance advice for Sandy victims
Touro Law School's disaster relief clinic is offering free legal consultations this month for superstorm Sandy victims who are considering reopening their flood insurance claims.
Law school staffers will be available for 30-minute, one-on-one conferences through Aug. 28 at the dates, times and places listed below:
Aug. 20, 3 to 8 p.m., Freeport High School
Aug. 25, 3 to 8 p.m., Babylon Town Hall
Aug. 26, 3 to 8 p.m., Merrick Library
Aug. 27, 3 to 8 p.m., Massapequa High School
Aug. 28, 3 to 7 p.m., Martin Luther King Center, Long Beach
Appointments are not necessary. Homeowners should bring the declaration page from their flood insurance policy, denial letters, invoices, receipts, photographs, grant letters from New York Rising and any other relevant paperwork.
