Two Melville companies face International Trade complaint

Two Melville electronics companies have been named in a U.S. International Trade Commission complaint filed on behalf of a California computer chip maker.

Arrow Electronics Inc. and its subsidiary Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. were targeted in the complaint.

Cypress Semiconductor Corp., of San Jose, alleges violations of the Tariff Act, "in the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain static random access memories and products containing same."

No further details were given in a US ITO news release last week.

Also named in the complaint were Alcatel-Lucent of Paris, France; Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson of Stockholm, Sweden; and Motorola Solutions of Schaumburg, Ill.
