Construction union seeks 100 apprenticeships

The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Local 79 of the Construction and General Building Laborers union will begin taking applications Thursday for 100 skilled construction craft laborer apprenticeships.

Applicants can apply on line at mttf.org between 9 and 10 a.m. on weekdays through April 15 or until 1,000 applications have been received.

Applicants should be 18 or older, provide proof of completion of high school or GED courses, be physically able to do the work of a skilled construction craft laborer and pass a drug test.
