Hazardous waste laborers' union seeking 200 apprentices
The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Local 78 of the Asbestos, Lead and Hazardous Waste Laborers union will begin taking applications on Wednesday for 200 skilled construction-craft laborer apprenticeships, officials said.
Applications can be obtained from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month through Nov. 13, 2019, at the Mason Tenders Training Fund, 42-53 21st St., Long Island City, Queens. Forms will not be available on legal holidays.
Applicants must be 18 or older, be a resident of Long Island or New York City, have finished at least the eighth grade, be physically able to do the work, have a valid state motor vehicles ID and reliable transportation.
