Caterer recruiting for 550 jobs at U.S. Open in Southampton

A job fair at the East Hampton Library on Friday will include a vendor seeking to fill more than 550 temporary food service and hospitality jobs for the U.S. Open Golf Championship in Southampton this summer.
The jobs include a variety of catering positions such as tent supervisors, beverage managers, bartenders, servers, tent chefs and dishwashers for the event, which will take place at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club June 11 to 17. Ridgewells Catering is recruiting for the jobs.
The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Interested candidates should send their resumes to usopenstaff@ridgewells.com and indicate in the subject line the positions they are interested in.
The office of Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, which made the announcement, said the county expects the event to generate $120 million to $130 million in economic impact.
