The rescheduled grand opening for the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Levittown will take place Friday morning, the company said.
The ribbon-cutting was scheduled for Wednesday but was briefly delayed because of last-minute permit issues.
The Levittown store, at 3335 Hemsptead Tpke., will be the Long Island debut of Walmart's Neighborhood Market format, which mirrors the traditional supermarket. The stores are half the size of Walmart's regular discount centers, which average 106,000 square feet of space.
