Wantagh chamber honors pub owner

John Murray Jr. of Wantagh has received the inaugural Good Guy award from the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce for "his lifetime of generosity and his willingness to benefit those in need. "

He is owner of Wantagh-based pub and concert hall Mulcahy's and has supported charities including the John Theissen Children's Foundation and Firefighter Michael J. Cawley Memorial Foundation.  He has also been a supporter of the Nassau County Police Department, Wantagh Fire Department and Wantagh Kiwanis.
