With the temperature set to hit 56 degrees this afternoon, we can only guess at the daydreams people are having of playing hooky from work (and we won’t be commenting on the people who actually are!)

Gladys Ahrens says, “If I had not had to come to the office, I would have taken a drive to Robert Moses beach, with the sunroof open. A simple walk along the beach, listening to the waves and the seagulls is very calming and a great way to unwind from the week!”

And no, “I didn't have anyone call in sick today,” said Ahrens, vice president administration, Chernoff Diamond Co., LLC, Garden City.

How about you? What would you do today if you weren’t at work?
