Woodbury event to give tips on boosting business profitability, sales
Techniques for increasing sales and profits are among the topics to be addressed at an all-day event on Jan. 15 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
There will be workshops on marketing, human resources, accounting and acquisitions, according to organizer Corrinne Graham, who also runs the year-old Graham International Consulting and Research Inc. in Coram.
She said she hopes about 200 people will attend Graham International's first business conference, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is titled, "2014 Profitability & Economic Conference: Internal Ops-Finding the 'Itch' in Operation."
The keynote speaker will be Newsday columnist and author Ellis Henican. Other presenters include Aliah D. Wright, an editor for the Society of Human Resource Management and author of the book, "A Necessary Evil," and small business marketing expert Ramon Ray.
