The Long Island Jobs With Justice website says it has a demonstration planned outside Cintas, a Central Islip uniform-laundering company at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The demonstration is part of what the not-for-profit calls its Statewide Day of Action, aimed at sending Gov. Andrew Cuomo a message that the group wants him to use state resources to create better jobs.
Cintas got more than $800,000 from 2002-2008 in Industrial Development Corp. tax breaks from Lancaster, in western New York, and in Islip Towns, yet has operated in an environmentally unsafe manner, and doesn't pay its workers enough, the not-for-profit said.
Cintas officials could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday morning.
