Zodiac Seats France, a manufacturer of passenger seats for the airline industry, has patented a design that flips the middle seat in the other direction.
The early reaction to the new design is hardly friendly. NPR compiled a few headlines throughout the country that included calling the new look a "nightmare" and "evil."
