Bloodhound SuperSonic Car

It looks like a team of British scientists and engineers plan to build a car that will reach 1,000 mph. Although the wheels on the model look real sturdy, I still worry. I get the feeling that someone's going to die, really really badly.

I just don't get the pursuit of land and water speed records. At such speeds, you might as well be flying.
