Chrysler unveils 2011 lineup, revamped Patriot

Chrysler is unveiled today it's new 2011 the models, including updates of the Chrysler Town & Country minivan, the Fiat 500 Sport, a redesigned Sebring and Jeep Patriot, at a closed-door meeting with 2,400 dealers who gathered in Orlando.
On the outside, the Patriot gets a redesigned grille, mini fog lamps, oversized front and rear bumpers that sit lower than the current Patriot, new 17-inch wheels and a 1-inch increase in ride height. Four new colors are also available.
The interior gets Jeep’s new steering wheel with mounted stereo, bluetooth, and cruise control buttons. The biggest upsell of the 2011 Jeep Patriot seems to be cutting back on the plastic. It now comes standard with new soft touch front-door trim panels with a padded upper surface; new center armrest; new cloth interior, with premium cloth front bucket seats.
Jeep also refined ride and handling by installing higher springs and damping rates and by beefing up the rear sway bar.
There’s no word on the specifics of the powertrain, but the 2010 Patriot already had the best fuel economy of any compact 4X4 with 23/29 mpg city/highway. It came with a choice of a 2.0-liter or 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with five-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission.
The 2011 Jeep Patriot goes on sale before the end of this year.
