New Durango on parade duty bursts into flames

Dodge released a new marketing blitz for the redesigned 2011 Dodge Durango, headlined by the "Where has it been?" commercial.
"It's 2011. Wonder where the Durango has been for the last two years?"
Apparently it's been taking handling and steering lessons from sporty European roads; it now has an advanced degree in technology; through regular excercise, it has more muscle, less fat.
However, at least one model didn't pay attention in fire-prevention class.
During the Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington D.C. on Saturday, a new Durango burst into flames.
At first, the vehicle began to spew black smoke while towing a float on the parade route. When the hood was propped up, the black smoke turned into flames, engulfing the entire engine bay. A parade spectator caught the whole accident on video.
No word yet on whether the incident was an operator error or a defect of the vehicle. Chrysler, Dodge's parent company, has yet to issue a statement.
A commentator on Autoblog.com, Joe, thinks that since the Durango was being used in a towing capacity, the transmission fluid might have overheated and "puked out the dipstick hole, then shorted an electrical connection."
