New Lamborghini Huracan replaces Gallardo, boasts 601-hp V-10 engine

Lamborghini let loose some details on its all-new 601-horsepower entry-level model, dubbed the Huracan. The supercar will replace the outgoing Gallardo, which Lamborghini calls its most successful model of all time, having sold more than 14,000 units during a 10-year production run that ended in November.
The Huracan, named after a famed breed of Spanish fighting bulls, bares closer resemblance to the further up-market Aventador than the model it replaces. It has a hexagonal form with sharper edges, larger air scoops, and more prominent exhaust tips at the rear.
Underneath the hood, the 5.2-liter V-10 engine gains about 50 horsepower over its predecessor and tops out at 601-horsepower. It's paired with a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel-drive system that allow it to reach 60 miles per hour in just 3.2 seconds and top out at 201 mph.
Better yet, thanks to a lighter body and stop-start technology, the Huracan is expected to achieve about 19 miles to the gallon. The 2015 model-year car will make its public debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March and is expected to be delivered shortly thereafter.
