Save the Manuals! Campaign

Car and Driver is kicking off a "Save the Manuals" campaign to try to reverse the inevitable decrease in the number of cars that stall when you stop as well as make grinding noises.

Is it a worthy cause? I guess so. It's kind of a macho thing (for both men and women). And it can be really cool to be macho and in control.

It doesn't matter too much to me. I could get just as much a kick out of pretending to shift a slushbox.

Either way, the PSA featuring C & D's top editor Eddie Alterman and a junkyard cat is stupid hilarious. WARNING: There's one instance of explicit language in this video. I'm serious, you'd be surprised how vulgar this guy is.
