What powers a Chevy Volt

Here's a video of a lecture about the mysterious workings of the controversial Chevy Volt.

Why controversial? Some car blogs are calling the evil corporate guys at GM liars because the Volt is not the true electric vehicle they promised. They say it's a hybrid because the small gas engine helps out. And a hybrid is totally not an electric car.

Other blogs fire back saying the Volt's still a marvel of engineering and stop kicking a big evil corporation that's owned by us, they had their reasons (I mean 'evil' in the nicest sense).

The argument's probably dead by now, but it was riveting stuff while it lasted. Thanks for keeping the Volt interesting.
