 Rosalyn Maldonado joins Moritt Hock &amp; Hamroff as an associate in the commercial litigation and construction practice areas and will work in the law firm's <a href="/topics//Garden_City,_NY">Garden City</a> office. The <a href="/topics//Valley_Stream,_NY">Valley Stream</a> resident was senior associate with French &amp; Casey in Manhattan.

 Avi Gordon, of <a href="/topics//West_Hempstead,_NY">West Hempstead</a>, joins Oorah as chief operating officer in Lakewood, N.J., and will oversee programs nationwide, including <a href="/topics//Long_Island,_NY">Long Island</a>. He held a similar position at Shamir Insight Inc. in San Diego. Oorah is a nonprofit that helps disadvantaged and disaffected children.
