 Randy J. Wiley has joined Island Federal Credit Union as vice president/chief financial officer. He joins the <a href="/topics/Hauppauge%2C_NY">Hauppauge</a>-based financial institution after serving as independent banking consultant in Fayetteville, N.Y. He lives in <a href="/topics/Northport%2C_NY">Northport</a>. 
 RESEARCH 
 Benjamin S. Hsiao, professor and chair of the department of chemistry at <a href="/topics/Stony_Brook_University">Stony Brook University</a> has been appointed vice president for research. The <a href="/topics/East_Setauket%2C_NY">East Setauket</a> resident will serve as chief research officer/senior academic administrator and will be responsible for the campuswide advancement of Stony Brook's research mission.

 Nick Catalano has joined Marcum Search in Manhattan as a vice president. His recruitment area of expertise is accounting and finance, technology, and office support. The <a href="/topics/Bohemia%2C_NY">Bohemia</a> resident was most recently a managing director at Advantage Professional in Manhattan.
