FINANCE
Lawrence Blascovich has been promoted to group director and senior vice president at Signature Bank. He is one of two people who have been assigned to oversee a five-person team in a soon-to-open midtown Manhattan office. The Manhasset resident was first vice president and senior relationship manager in the premier corporate and professional services division for 11 years.
MANUFACTURING
Michael Gallo has been named director of technical services at ACCU-SCOPE and UNITRON, Commack-based companies that manufacture certified microscopes and precision instruments for use in clinical, research, education and industrial environments. Gallo was most recently director of technical services for the scientific equipment group at Olympus America in Center Valley, Pa. He lives in Port Jefferson.
BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
The New York Independent System Operator announced that Gerald Stokes has been named to its recently created consumer advisory council. NYISO is an Albany-based, not-for-profit company that, in collaboration with electricity markets, ensures the power needs of the state are met by management of its bulk electricity system. The advisory council will provide a forum for the exchange of information between NYISO and electricity consumers. Stokes is a Mount Sinai resident and associate director for global and regional solutions at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton.

Ralph J. Kreitzman, mayor of the Village of Great Neck, has been named to the executive committee of the New York State Conference of Mayors and Municipal Officials. Kreitzman holds the position of senior counsel and heads the real estate practice group at Hughes Hubbard & Reed in Manhattan. He lives in the Village of Great Neck.
HEALTH CARE
Dr. Karin Sadow was named regional medical director at PM Pediatrics, a provider of after-hours pediatric urgent care in New York City and Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties. Before joining PM Pediatrics Sadow was director of pediatric emergency medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. Concurrently, the New Rochelle resident will serve as medical director of the Mamaroneck office of Syosset-based PM Pediatrics.
MEDIA
Melville-based Newsday announced two new appointments: Frank Czuchan has been named director of consumer marketing and brand strategy. The Scarsdale resident was most recently vice president of marketing, advertising and public affairs at Nickelodeon in Manhattan. Erik Zenhausern of Harrison has been named director of circulation subscription acquisition. Prior to joining Newsday, he was circulation director at National Review Magazine in Manhattan.
