James W. Casey has been named adjutant of the New York State American Legion. As adjutant, Casey will serve as chief administrative officer and will work out of department headquarters in Albany as well as his home in Malverne. Casey is retired from the Long Island Rail Road.
Thomas R. Slome has been elected secretary of the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters Long Island. The Rockville Centre resident is a member and chair of the bankruptcy practice and co-chair of the corporate finance practice at Meyer, Suozzi, English and Klein in Garden City and Manhattan.

John G. Farinacci has been appointed co-chair of the trusts and estates department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale. The Massapequa resident has been partner since 2011 and concentrates his practice in trust and estate litigation.
