 Dr. Samuel L. Stanley Jr. has been appointed to the board of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, a <a href="/topics//Washington,_D.C.">Washington, D.C.</a>-based research and advocacy organization of public research universities, land-grant institutions, and state university systems. The <a href="/topics//Old_Field,_NY">Old Field</a> resident is the president of <a href="/topics//Stony_Brook_University">Stony Brook University</a>. 
 EDUCATION 
 Melania Voutsinas has joined Portledge School in <a href="/topics//Locust_Valley,_NY">Locust Valley</a> as the new school psychologist supporting students on a part-time basis through BOCES. The <a href="/topics//Muttontown,_NY">Muttontown</a> resident was school psychologist at St. Anne's School in <a href="/topics//Garden_City,_NY">Garden City</a> and Our Lady of Victory in <a href="/topics//Floral_Park,_NY">Floral Park</a>. 
 HEALTH CARE 
 Richard J.J. Sullivan Jr. has been named president and CEO of Catholic Health Services (CHS) of Long Island in Rockville Centre. The Babylon resident will continue as chairman of the board of directors for CHS and as chairman and chief executive of the CM&amp;F Group Inc. in Manhattan. 
 LAW 
 Denise D. Pursley has been promoted to partner and real estate practice group leader at Nixon Peabody in <a href="/topics//Jericho,_NY">Jericho</a>. Pursley previously served as partner and will now oversee the firm's national real estate team. She lives in <a href="/topics//Massapequa,_NY">Massapequa</a>.
