Steven McKenna
has joined the board of directors at the Education & Assistance Corp., a Hempstead-based social services organization. McKenna is general manager of the Long Island Press and longislandpress.com and lives in Manorville.

Virginia Frati has been elected to the board of directors of the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Council, which provides wildlife rehabilitators with education and technical support and promotes professionalism in the field. The Sag Harbor resident is the founder and executive director of the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center based in Hampton Bays.

has been named chief of research at Mark J. Snyder Financial Services in Medford. He will serve in this new position concurrent with that of portfolio analyst and lives in Port Washington.

Brendan Stanton
has joined Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone in Mineola as chief communications officer. The Lindenhurst resident was most recently Suffolk County executive assistant in the Suffolk County executive office in Hauppauge.

MEDIA
Linda Yaccarino-Madrazo
has joined NBC Universal in Manhattan as president of cable, entertainment and digital advertising sales. The Sea Cliff resident was most recently associated with Turner Broadcasting, where she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Turner entertainment ad sales & marketing and acquisitions.

HEALTH CARE
Nancy Simmons
has been appointed executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, a Catholic Health Services health care facility. The Malverne resident most recently served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, another CHS facility.

NONPROFIT
John S. Garee
has been named scout executive and chief executive of the Theodore Roosevelt Council, the Nassau County representation of the Boy Scouts of America. He will be relocating to Long Island from Worcester, Mass., where he was scout executive of the Mohegan Council in that area.

REAL ESTATE
Guy Canzoneri 
has joined Sperry Van Ness Commercial Real Estate Advisors in Holbrook as a senior investment adviser and director of the firm's newly created investment sales team. He was previously associated with Robert Florea Investment Realty in Melville, where he was a broker. Canzoneri lives in Huntington.
