Dr. Joseph Mattana has been appointed chief of the division of nephrology and hypertension at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. The Syosset resident most recently was chief of the division of kidney diseases and hypertension at both campuses of North Shore-LIJ Health Systems, professor of medicine at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, adjunct professor of clinical medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and associate investigator at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.
