The Nassau County chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals announced newly filled positions on its board of directors.

Barry Shapiro of Wantagh was elected chapter president. He is the president of Bshapiro Financial, a financial planning firm in Jericho, and an investment representative adviser with Commonwealth Financial Network.

Sam Miller is the new vice president. Also a Wantagh resident, he is a registered representative with New York Partners Group in Westbury.

Anthony DiBernardo has been elected chapter secretary. The Woodbury resident is a partner at Coordinated Planning Group in Melville and an investment adviser representative with Princor Financial Services.

Judith Kunoff has been elected president of the board of directors of the South Huntington Jewish Center, where she has served as an officer since 2007. The Melville resident is chief architect at MTA New York City Transit.
