Philip Sparacino has joined Disciplined Portfolio Solutions, an independent registered investment adviser firm in Commack, as president. The Commack resident comes from Charles Schwab & Co. in Smithtown, where he was vice president-financial consultant.

Dr. David Fagan has assumed the responsibilities of acting chairman of the department of pediatrics at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. He previously served as residency program director for the department and lives in Long Beach.

Lake Success-based Canon U.S.A. announced that Elsa de Sucre has been promoted to president of Canon Panama and will oversee all operations in the region. She was promoted from vice president and lives in Panama City.
