 Bruce A. Siegel has been appointed co-chairman of the recently consolidated Northeast region board of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. The Manhattan resident is executive vice president and general counsel of First Long Island Investors in Jericho. 
 Ronald L. Savarese has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of Samaritan Village. The East Norwich resident is a psychotherapist in private practice in Great Neck. Samaritan Village is dedicated to improving the quality of life for New Yorkers facing adversity by providing services including substance abuse treatment, mental health and primary health care, specialized programs for military veterans, vocational and employment services, shelter and transitional housing, and services for seniors. 
 NONPROFITS 
 Kirk R. Cronk has joined Easter Seals New York as development and communications manager and will work in the Sayville office as it expands its programs for veterans on Long Island. The Setauket resident was director of business services at the Suffolk County Department of Labor in Hauppauge.
