BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Thomas Boerum has been appointed chairman of the board of directors at the Education & Assistance Corporation, a nonprofit social services agency in Hempstead. Boerum is president of CGAA, a Hauppauge management consulting firm, and lives in Wading River.
The Long Island Division of the New York chapter of the March of Dimes announced new board appointments.
Dr. J. Gerald Quirk, who resides in St. James and is a professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, has been elected division chairman.
MaryAnn Sackman of Sands Point has been elected vice chairwoman. She is president and co-founder of Port Washington-based RMI Consulting, a risk-management firm.

Erica Youngerman has joined Kirschenbaum & Kirschenbaum in Garden City as an associate in the firm's health care department. She is a Syosset resident.
