FINANCE
Robert S. Posner has been admitted as a partner at Albrecht, Viggiano, Zureck & Co. a Hauppauge accounting and business advisory firm. He has been with AVZ since 1994 and was promoted to principal in 2006. Posner is an East Northport resident.
HEALTH CARE
Kevin M. McGeachy has been promoted to executive director of the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park. The East Setauket resident has served as deputy executive director for two years before his promotion.
INSURANCE
Leslie Nylund has been promoted to president at Sterling & Sterling, an insurance brokerage headquartered in Woodbury. The Garden City resident was promoted from vice chair and will oversee all operations as well as its field offices in New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Utah and Los Angeles.
LAW
Max Gershenoff has been elected partner at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale. He is a member of the litigation & appeals and employment & labor practice groups and lives in Brooklyn.
Brian C. Doyle has been promoted to partner at Farrell Fritz in Uniondale. He is a resident of Southampton and concentrates his practice in business, commercial and state court criminal litigation.
Joseph M. Burke has joined his family's law firm Burke & Sullivan in Southampton. His practice will include closings, land matters, variances, and permitting procedures. He was an assistant Southampton town attorney working on legislation and providing counsel to municipal boards. He is a Sag Harbor resident.
Anthony J. Falanga has joined the matrimonial & family law practice at Jaspan Schlesinger in Garden City as partner. He is a former justice of the New York State Supreme Court and lives in East Meadow.
REAL ESTATE
Sandi Polinsky has joined Homes by Mara, a boutique real estate agency, as an associate broker. The East Williston resident held a similar position at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty in East Hills before joining the Syosset real estate firm.
Ben Levy has joined Sperry Van Ness Commercial Real Estate Advisors in Holbrook as a senior adviser. The Stony Brook resident, formerly brokerage director at Camco Services of New York, a Port Jefferson Station-based property management firm, is a former nuclear engineer, inventor and an ex-senior corporate executive in the high technology industry.
TECHNOLOGY
Douglas Crooks has joined Farmingdale-based Delta Computer Group as an IBM I series and P series specialist and will work from Delta's Atlanta location. Crooks was most recently a support systems representative at IBM in South Carolina and lives in Marietta, Ga.
