Lucy Mazany has been appointed senior vice president and Long Island division manager at Valley National Bank. The Centerport resident joined the bank in 2012 as a result of the bank's acquisition of State Bank of Long Island, where she worked for 10 years, most recently as first vice president.

Maggie Weiss Boba has been named as the first executive director of Hand in Hand for Seniors, a nonprofit organization based in Huntington that helps seniors stay in their homes. The Centerport resident was director of the Harborfields Alliance for Community Outreach.
