 William Ayers has joined Astoria Federal Savings as senior vice president and director of relationship management for the business banking group in the Jericho office. The Holbrook resident was senior vice president of the middle market banking group at Capital One Bank in Melville.

 Mathew Zangwill has been elected to the board of directors of the School for Language and Communication Development, an educational organization in Glen Cove that serves children in grades K-12 with severe language and autism spectrum disorders. The Great Neck resident is an associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale in the real estate practice group.
