R. Brent Jones has been named vice president of finance for the Pall Corp. in Port Washington. The Manhattan resident is responsible for investor relations, treasury and corporate financial planning. Larry Hoffman has been named controller for Unified Window Systems in Hempstead. The Syosset resident previously served as controller at AAA Refrigeration Service in the Bronx.

REAL ESTATE

Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty has added three licensed sales agents. 

Paola Kanakaris, of Old Brookville, has joined the Glen Head/Old Brookville office. She previously worked for Sherlock Homes in Sea Cliff.

David Kirkham, of Matinecock, is newly licensed and has joined the company's Carle Place office.

Cristina Tagliasacchi, of Patchogue, has joined the Northport office. She previously worked at Empire State Properties in Manhattan.

BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS

Scott Sanders, managing partner of Jericho-based certified public accounting firm Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, has been named president-elect of the Nassau County chapter of New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as the chapter's vice president and treasurer, and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State and New Jersey Society of CPAs.

FINANCE

Zachary Mayo has been promoted to market president for Citibank's Long Island market area. The Roslyn Heights resident will work with businesses, civic organizations and government partners to increase local engagement. Mayo will combine his current responsibilities as executive vice president and managing director over the northeast division of commercial banking with his new responsibilities.

LAW

Ann-Margaret Carrozza has been appointed as a member of The Surrogate's Court Advisory Committee to the Chief Administrative Judge of the Courts of the State of New York. The Glen Head resident is an estate planning and elder law attorney, and previously served as a member of the state Assembly for 14 years. She is an executive member of the New York State Bar Association, Elder Law section.

 Assemb. Edward P. Ra has joined Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana in Uniondale. Ra, of Franklin Square, has been named counsel in the firm's Land Use and Zoning Practice Group. He has served as deputy town attorney for the Town of Hempstead and as legal aide in the Office of the New York State Attorney General. He represents the 21st District, which includes part of Nassau County.

NONPROFITS

The Early Years Institute in Plainview has appointed Johanna Rotta as coordinator of community assets. The Brentwood resident previously was junior account executive at Reel Enterprises, a media rights consulting firm in Manhattan. The Early Years Institute partners with schools, libraries and other community organizations to ensure that Long Island children are prepared for kindergarten.
