BOARDS/ASSOCIATIONS 
 Patricia Wright has been elected to the American Philosophical Society. The Miller Place resident is a professor of biological anthropology at Stony Brook University. She is also founder and executive director of Centre ValBio, a research station on the edge of Madagascar's Ranomafana National Park that uses hands-on science to help sustain the resources and people of Madagascar; and founder and director of the Institute for the Conservation of Tropical Environments at Stony Brook University, created to encourage and promote scientific research, training, and conservation in the tropics, with a particular focus on Madagascar. 
 Rebuilding Together Long Island has appointed two new members to its board of directors. 
 Ed Kliegman, of Massapequa Park, is a certified public accountant and the retired founding partner of Marcum Kliegman in Manhattan. 
 Barbara Nilsen, of Babylon, is a retired manager of Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, and past president of the Grumman Retiree Club. 
 Rebuilding Together Long Island is a nonprofit program that repairs and rehabilitates the homes of poor, elderly and disabled homeowners.
