 Laurence A. Maistelman was named regional vice president of HSA Bank for the <a href="/topics/New_York_%28state%29">New York</a> region. The <a href="/topics/Plainview%2C_NY">Plainview</a> resident was most recently president of <a href="/topics/Anderson%2C_IN">Anderson</a> <a href="/topics/Kent_State_University">Kent</a> Property &amp; Casualty in <a href="/topics/Melville%2C_NY">Melville</a>. 
 HEALTH CARE 
 Richard J.J. Sullivan was named executive chairman of Catholic Health Services of <a href="/topics/Long_Island%2C_NY">Long Island</a>. He has been chairman of the board of directors for almost 10 years and chief executive for a transitional period. The <a href="/topics/Babylon%2C_NY">Babylon</a> resident is also chairman and chief executive of the CM&amp;F Group, a Manhattan-based insurance brokerage and agency. 
 Dr. Robert Alan Kates was named chairman of anesthesiology at St. Francis Hospital in <a href="/topics/Roslyn%2C_NY">Roslyn</a>. The <a href="/topics/Huntington%2C_NY">Huntington</a> resident was vice chairman of the department and has been an attending anesthesiologist at St. Francis since 1986. 
 The <a href="/topics/North_Shore-Long_Island_Jewish_Health_System">North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System</a> announced two appointments. 
 Dr. Barry Kaplan was named vice chair of the department of cardiology at both <a href="/topics/North_Shore_University_Hospital">North Shore University Hospital</a> and <a href="/topics/Long_Island_Jewish_Medical_Center">Long Island Jewish Medical Center</a>. The <a href="/topics/Point_Lookout%2C_NY">Point Lookout</a> resident was named director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at <a href="/topics/Long_Island_Jewish_Medical_Center">Long Island Jewish Medical Center</a> before his promotion.

The Huntington resident was an associate at Brosnan &amp; Hegler in <a href="/topics/Garden_City%2C_NY">Garden City</a> where he handled estate administration and litigation on behalf of the <a href="/topics/Nassau_County%2C_NY">Nassau</a> County Public Administrator.

 Colleen Multari was named director of early learning at <a href="/topics/Plainview%2C_NY">Plainview</a>-based Early Years Institute, which educates parents, professionals, and the public about the importance of the early years of life for later success. She was a licensing specialist in the day care licensing division at the <a href="/topics/New_York_%28state%29">New York</a> State Office of Children and Family Services in <a href="/topics/Central_Islip%2C_NY">Central Islip</a>, which is also the community in which she lives.
