Previously with Breslin Realty, where he specialized in retail tenant representation, Bomzer earlier was a residential real estate broker in the Franklin Square office of Prudential Douglas Elliman. William Kinn
, of Southampton, has been elected president of the Long Island chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Kinn is chief executive at Kinn Real Estate Counselors in Manhattan and Southampton and has been an appraiser since 1981.

Brian R. Sahn, of Manhattan, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Long Island chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainable building design and construction. Sahn is a partner at Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana in Uniondale.

Diane Sherman, of Riverhead, has been named commander of the Peconic Bay Power Squadron, a unit of the United States Power Squadrons. The Peconic Bay Power Squadron has helped boaters stay safe on the water since 1939. Sherman is a special-education teacher in the Middle Country school district.

FINANCE
Joseph Ammirati
has joined Friedman in Uniondale as partner. He held a similar position at Klein Liebman & Gresen in Syosset and lives in Huntington.

HSBC Bank announced two promotions.

Anthony Mancusi has been promoted to vice president and senior branch manager at the Melville location. The Levittown resident was promoted from branch manager.

Arlene Amritt-Bhoorasingh was promoted to vice president and senior branch manager of the Lynbrook branch. The Rosedale resident was promoted from personal banker.

HEALTH CARE
Patricia A. McGlinchey
has joined Comprehensive Obstetrics & Gynecology of Long Island. As a nurse practitioner, she will provide gynecological and obstetric care to patients at the company's West Islip location. The Babylon resident held a similar position at Huntington Medical Group in Commack.

Susan Knoepffler has been named vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer at Huntington Hospital. A resident of Bayport, Knoepffler was previously senior administrative director of the emergency department at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park.

MaryEllen Weber was recently promoted to director of cancer registry services for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and cancer registry consultant for St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, both members of Catholic Health Services. Weber joined Good Samaritan in 1994 as a registrar and was promoted to supervisor in the cancer registry department. She lives in East Islip.

LAW
Joshua D. Aronson
has been promoted to an associate at the law office of Robert H. Solomon in Long Beach and will focus his practice in bankruptcy law. The Merrick resident clerked at the law firm after graduating from Hofstra Law School.
