BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Richard G. Fromewick, chair of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein's tax certiorari and condemnation practice, has been appointed to the Garden City Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He lives in Oceanside.
Patricia McMahon has been appointed to the Suffolk County Community College board of trustees. The Babylon Village resident is deputy to the sector vice president for the battle management and engagement systems division at Northrop Grumman Aerospace.
Amun Raheem Handa has been appointed to the board of directors of 100 Black Men of Long Island. The Shirley resident is senior community relations coordinator for the Long Island region of Health Plus.
David I. Rosenberg has been appointed vice chairman of the Suffolk County Economic Development Corp. in Hauppauge. The Dix Hills resident is senior partner at the Garden City law firm of Rosenberg Fortuna & Laitman.
Jennifer Rimmer has joined the board of directors at HorseAbility, a nonprofit organization in Melville that offers horse-related programs to those with special needs. The Port Washington resident is deputy director of Sustainable Long Island.
FINANCE
Edward Lynch has joined Ocean Capital, the commercial lending division of Rhode Island-based Home Loan Investment Bank, as vice president of business development on Long Island. The Hauppauge resident was vice president of Small Business Administration lending at Citibank.
Jeffrey N. Barber has joined Islandia-based Gold Coast Bank as senior vice president/chief credit officer. The Plainview resident was senior vice president and managing director at Herald National Bank in Melville.
HEALTH CARE
Dr. Simon E. Prince has been appointed medical director at Queens Long Island Renal Institute, a new dialysis unit in New Hyde Park. The Muttontown resident is founder of North Shore Nephrology in Manhasset.
Henry Schein, a health care products and services provider in Melville, announced three company promotions: Jeff Waldman of Dix Hills was promoted to vice president of finance and administration for Henry Schein's medical business. He was promoted from director of finance and chief financial officer. Rita Acquafredda was promoted to vice president and general manager for Zahn Dental Laboratory division, a Henry Schein company. The Miller Place resident was promoted from general manager. John Scano was promoted to vice president of global financial operations from director. He lives in Huntington.
George P. Rainer was promoted to senior vice president of human resources and organizational development at Winthrop-University Hospital. The Port Jefferson resident was promoted from vice president, human resources.
LAW
Pedram Tabibi has joined the Mineola law firm of Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone as an associate. The Roslyn Heights resident was a judicial intern with the Hon. Martin E. Ritholtz of the Queens County Supreme Court.
