 Helen Dorado <a href="/topics/Alessi">Alessi</a> has been elected vice president. She is a senior vice president at The Early Years Institute in <a href="/topics/Plainview%2C_NY">Plainview</a> and lives in <a href="/topics/Long_Beach%2C_NY">Long Beach</a>. 
 Jorge Romero, of <a href="/topics/Long_Beach%2C_NY">Long Beach</a>, has been elected treasurer. He is a financial adviser at <a href="/topics/Morgan_Stanley">Morgan Stanley</a> <a href="/topics/Smith_Barney">Smith Barney</a> in Manhattan. 
 Andrew Rodriguez, of <a href="/topics/Freeport%2C_NY">Freeport</a>, has been elected secretary. He is owner/managing partner at Digidottech, an information technology company also located in <a href="/topics/Freeport%2C_NY">Freeport</a>. 
 Katherine Coladner, of Long Beach, has been named director. She is the broker/owner of RKM Consulting, a Long Beach real estate company. 
 HEALTH CARE 
 Dr. Charles Schleien has been named chair of pediatrics at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center in <a href="/topics/New_Hyde_Park%2C_NY">New Hyde Park</a>. He was executive vice chairman of pediatrics at the <a href="/topics/Columbia_University">Columbia University</a> College of Physicians and Surgeons and professor of pediatrics and anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He lives in Larchmont.
