 The National Association of the Remodeling Industry announced new appointments. Laurence Carolan has been elected chairman of the education committee. The North Merrick resident is the owner of House of Laurence, a contracting and remodeling company in North Merrick.

 Victoria A. McGinn has been named to the board of directors of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, an organization that represents 46,000 federally licensed tax practitioners. The Holtsville resident has her own tax and accounting office in Miller Place.

 Kerry K. Jardine has joined Rivkin Radler in Uniondale as an associate in the insurance coverage and litigation, and litigation and appeals practice groups.
