BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Mary Bossart has been elected president of the Nassau County Village Officials Association, which is based in New Hyde Park. The association represents 64 incorporated villages in Nassau County. The Rockville Centre resident has been the mayor of the Village of Rockville Centre for four years.

Blanche Puglisi has joined the board of directors at RotaCare, a health center in Uniondale that provides free primary care and medication to uninsured and financially limited individuals. A rotating team of over 100 volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners and other professionals provide health care to 1,800 patients each year. The Dix Hills resident is a registered nurse volunteers at RotaCare after 25 years in public health.

EDUCATION
Joseph B. Dixon Jr. has been promoted to the newly created position of chief learning officer at Teq, a Farmingdale company that provides interactive classroom technology and support services. The Williston Park resident was promoted from director of professional development and training services.

Eva Lewandowski has been elected to the board of directors of the Paul E. Pepe Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Manhasset resident is a sophomore at Manhasset High School and will serve as executive secretary on the board.

ENERGY
Kevin P. Harvey has been promoted to vice president of utility projects and engineering, procuring, and construction agreements at Port Chester-based Mercury Solar Systems. The Kings Park resident was promoted from division president of the Long Island operations group, which is based in Holbrook.

FINANCE
Carol Hammond has been promoted to vice president, associate managing director and marketing coordinator at Herald National Bank in Melville. She was most recently vice president and associate managing director and lives in Glen Cove.

Louis Pagano, of Huntington, has joined Citibank in Huntington as a CitiGold relationship manager. He was most recently a personal banker at JPMorgan Chase, also in Huntington.

LAW
Adam P. Wofse has been promoted to partner at LaMonica Herbst & Maniscalco in Wantagh. The Port Washington resident had been of counsel. He practices in the areas of bankruptcy and debtor and creditor rights.

MEDIA
Christine Vela, of Melville, has been named business development consultant at Virginia-based Dominion Enterprises, a provider of technology, media and web solutions for businesses. She will work from Dominion's Melville office and was recently a senior account manager for All Island Media in Edgewood.

REAL ESTATE
Ted Stratigos has been promoted to executive director at Cushman & Wakefield in Melville. The leasing and sales executive was promoted from senior director and has been with the organization since 1980. He lives in Huntington Bay.
