ACCOUNTING
Wendy Valentino has been promoted to principal at Cohen Greve & Co., an accounting firm in Mineola. The Lake Grove resident was previously a manager at the company.
EDUCATION
The Portledge School in Locust Valley announced two new hires.
Sevan Angacian, of Laurel Hollow, is the new learning specialist. She previously interned at Idle Hour Elementary School in Oakdale.
Kim Baratoff, of Glen Cove, is the ESL (English as Second Language) teacher and an admissions associate. She previously worked in the Jericho School District as a special-education inclusion teacher.
ENGINEERING
Jason Stern has joined engineering and construction services firm Greenman-Pedersen Inc. as senior project manager in the Babylon office. The Plainview resident previously served as deputy civil department manager/project manager of engineering, construction, and technical services provider URS Corp. in Manhattan.
