BOARDS/ASSOCIATIONS 
 The Firemen's Association of the State of New York has announced two appointments. 
 Robert Ottaviano, of Glen Head, has been re-elected as a director. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Glenwood Hook and Ladder, Engine &amp; Hose Co. 
 Eugene Perry Jr. has been elected a director. The Shirley resident is an emergency services dispatcher for the Village of Patchogue. 
 Tom Deierlein has joined the board of directors of Razia's Ray of Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Afghanistan through community-based education. The Garden City resident is co-founder and chief executive of ThunderCat Technology in Reston, Va. 
 SECURITY 
 Marisa Erickson has been promoted to assistant service supervisor at Briscoe Protective Systems in Centereach. The Centereach resident was previously service coordinator.
