 Nancy Goroff has been appointed associate provost for the integration of research, education and professional development, and associate dean of the graduate school at Stony Brook University. The Stony Brook resident will perform her new role in addition to her duties as associate professor of chemistry.

 Dr. Reena Nandi has been named director of psychiatric services at North Shore Child &amp; Family Guidance Center in Roslyn Heights. The Old Westbury resident has been with the Guidance Center for 17 years and most recently served as supervisor for the intensive support program. 
 LAW 
 Elizabeth Vaz has joined Berkman, Henoch, Peterson, Peddy &amp; Fenchel in Garden City as an associate focusing on uncontested residential foreclosures. The Mastic resident was a counselor at Family Residence and Essential Enterprise in Old Bethpage. 
 REAL ESTATE 
 Timothy D. Parlante has joined Damianos Realty Group in Smithtown as a leasing agent. The Sea Cliff resident was an associate at Jones Lang LaSalle in Melville.
