 Fred Skolnik has been appointed to the board of the Long Island Matrix of Science and Technology. The Plainview resident is partner in the corporate/securities practice group at the law firm of Certilman Balin in East Meadow. 
 Barbara Tomitz has been elected president of the Long Island chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators. The Garden City resident is the firm administrator for Gertler Law Group in East Meadow. 
 EDUCATION 
 Alexis Brashich Morledge has been appointed director of admissions at The Green Vale School in Old Brookville. The Point Lookout resident served as director of alumni relations and associate director of advancement since 2004. 
 REAL ESTATE 
 William Rousseas has joined Homes by Mara Realty in Syosset as a licensed sales agent. Rousseas was owner of the Old Westbury Diner and lives in Syosset.
