Dr. Michael C. Bachman has joined Lake Success-based PM Pediatrics as a regional medical director. He will be overseeing PM Pediatrics' operations in New Jersey. Chris D. Krimitsos has been appointed to the board of directors of the Child Care Council of Nassau. He is a corporate and banking associate at Farrell Fritz, a Uniondale law firm, and lives in East Williston.

EDUCATION
Fran Giambanco has been appointed executive director at The Institute for Financial Education, a Smithtown organization that provides seminars, workshops, and courses in practical money management and professional development. The Melville resident was most recently director of product and trainer development at Dale Carnegie & Associates in Hauppauge.

EVALUATION
Lisa Strahs-Lorenc has joined Service Evaluation Concepts in Woodbury and will be responsible for sales and new business development. SEC helps companies measure and manage how their brands are perceived. The Port Jefferson Station resident was previously employed at LI Works Coalition in Melville as director of educational services, director of community relations and director of marketing.

FINANCE
Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union has announced two new appointments. Sandra Baron has joined the company as director of human resources. The Woodbury resident comes to the Garden City Park financial institution from Country Life, a provider of nutritional supplements located in Hauppauge, where she was vice president of human resources. Maureen Genna has joined the firm as vice president of operations. She most recently was general manager at Long Island State Employees Federal Credit Union in Hauppauge and lives in Wantagh.

Michelle Blair has been named director of office operations at The Design Capital Planning Group. Before joining the Smithtown wealth management company, she was owner of Blair TV Service in Huntington Station. She is a Farmingville resident.

HEALTH CARE

Mary Jane Milano was named director of quality and education for the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council and its two sister organizations -- Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association and Rochester Regional Health Care Association. The Rochester resident most recently served as director of the physician quality collaborative for the Monroe County Medical Society in Rochester and as project director, emergency preparedness program, for the Rochester Regional Healthcare Association.

HOSPITALITY
Ronald Johnston has been named general manager at Insignia Steakhouse & Sushi in Smithtown, which is scheduled to open in November. He was most recently general manager at Nisen Sushi in Woodbury and lives in Hauppauge.
