Dr. Shang Loh has joined Stony Brook University School of Medicine's department of surgery as assistant professor, division of vascular surgery. Loh comes to Stony Brook from NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, where he completed a two-year fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery. He lives in Smithtown. HEALTH CARE
Dr. Carolyn S. Birnbaum has been named director of women's imaging services for the Women's Center of St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn. Birnbaum is a Bellerose resident and has been with the hospital since 2008. She was previously associate physician-in-charge of women's imaging at North Shore University Hospital.

Rose F. Lowe has joined Jaspan Schlesinger in Garden City as counsel after serving as a New York State assistant attorney general in the Real Property Bureau in Hauppauge, where she handled the condemnation cases for New York City and Nassau and Suffolk counties. The Westhampton Beach resident will work in Jaspan Schlesinger's tax certiorari and condemnation law group.
