Reynolds was appointed to the Suffolk County Welfare to Work Commission, which makes recommendations on federal, state, and county policies and procedures targeted to moving residents from welfare to work. He is the executive director of the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence and is a Smithtown resident.
The Lexington School and Center for the Deaf in Jackson Heights has announced two new members of its board of directors:
Dr. Maria Torroella Carney is the commissioner of health for the Nassau County Department of Health. The Lattingtown resident is also a clinical assistant professor at the Mount Sinai and Stony Brook University schools of medicine.
Randolph Ghisone is the assistant deputy Nassau executive for finance and lives in Hicksville.

Carolyn Sargent has joined the Huntington office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage as an associate. The Huntington resident held a similar position at Referral Associates in Huntington.
