/ASSOCIATIONSKathleen Lamaute has joined the board of directors at Rota-Care, a free health center in Uniondale run by volunteers. The Rockville Centre resident is a nurse practitioner, chair of the individual member division of the American Nurses Association and an associate professor at Molloy College. She is also a RotaCare volunteer.
EDUCATIONDr. Vincent W. Yang has been named chair of the department of medicine at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He was tapped from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where he was the R. Bruce Logue professor of medicine and director of the division of digestive diseases. He will be relocating to Long Island.
HEALTH CARERichard A. Rivera has been promoted to vice president, administration, at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. He has been with the hospital for more than 40 years and most recently served as assistant vice president, administration. He is a Garden City resident.
