Inder S. Anand of Woodbury has been promoted to private wealth adviser at Anand & Associates, his business name within Ameriprise Financial Services in Garden City. He was a financial adviser.

Mark Saeger, a resident of Manhattan, has been appointed as first senior vice president and department head of New York commercial lending for Valley National Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp in Manhattan. He will split his time between Jericho and Manhattan offices.
Gold Coast Bank in Islandia has announced two new hires.
David Katzman of Greenlawn has been hired as an underwriter. He was a senior associate at Forest Hills Financial Group in Melville.
Gary Harkins of Mount Sinai has been hired as a relationship manager. He was a financial adviser at Morgan Stanley in Manhattan.
Zach Mayo of Roslyn has been appointed as managing director and national head of the middle-market segment for Citibank in Uniondale. He managed Citi's business banking and commercial banking teams in the Northeast, and he served as Long Island market president for Citi.
Dean Kramer of Mount Sinai has joined United Northern Mortgage Bankers Ltd. in Levittown as director of forward mortgage operations. He was senior relationship manager of commercial lending for Suffolk Federal Credit Union in Medford.
CATERING
Tom Samodolski of Holbrook has joined The Dover Group in Freeport as director of operations, mobile sales. He worked for King Caterers in Farmingdale.
NUTRITION
Matthew Roberts is relocating to Long Island to be chief scientific officer at NBTY in Ronkonkoma. He was divisional vice president of global product research and development at Abbott Nutrition in Columbus, Ohio.
