Frank Koch has been elected chairman of the Long Island Water Conference (LIWC). He is the superintendent of water and sewer for the Village of Garden City and lives in Malverne. Koch previously served as first vice chairman of the LIWC.

Stephen Strouse has been named to the board of directors at Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services in Hicksville. The East Rockaway resident is vice president at AWS Mechanical in Island Park.

John Christie has been appointed to the board of directors of the New York State Middle School Association and will serve as the Long Island liaison. Christie is an assistant principal at the Eastport-South Manor Central School District in Manorville and lives in Patchogue.

 

GOVERNMENT

William Bookless has been named associate laboratory director for policy and strategic planning at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National (BNL) in Upton. He joins BNL from the National Nuclear Security Administration in Washington, D.C., where he was a senior adviser.
